This soap is made from the material normally discarded in silk production. We cultivate our own mulberry trees in Gunma, Japan where we aim to develop 100% local silk. The mulberry leaves are eaten by silkworms that shed their skin several times to produce cocoons. A part of the proceeds of the soap goes to the development of sericulture in Gunma.
